The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Accounts Officer to join their Finance & Administration team. Reporting to the Company Accountant, this role will support the daily financial operations of the business across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, banking, reconciliations and general finance administration.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys structure, routine and accuracy, while also being able to manage a busy workload and communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
You will play an important role in ensuring customer accounts are maintained, supplier invoices are processed correctly, payments are allocated accurately, and reconciliations are completed on time.
Key Outcomes of the Role
Accounts Receivable – Process daily sales invoicing, allocate customer payments, prepare credit notes, reconcile customer accounts and assist with proactive debtor management.
Credit Control & Customer Support – Follow up overdue accounts, assist with debtor queries, support credit decisions and escalate issues where required.
Accounts Payable – Process supplier invoices, complete purchase order matching, check coding, reconcile supplier statements and support weekly payment runs.
Banking & Reconciliations – Post and reconcile bank transactions, complete credit card reconciliations and support month-end finance processes.
Stakeholder Communication – Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers and internal team members to resolve queries and keep processes moving.
Finance Team Support – Work closely with the Company Accountant and contribute to accurate reporting, continuous improvement and reliable finance administration.
About You
You are someone who:
- Has at least three years’ experience in accounts, finance administration or a similar role.
- Is confident working across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in accuracy.
- Is reliable, punctual and comfortable working on-site full-time.
- Can manage repetitive, process-driven work while maintaining quality and focus.
- Communicates professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Has intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Is proactive, accountable and follows through on commitments.
- Works well in a small team environment and brings a positive, can-do attitude.
A Diploma or Degree in Accounting will be highly regarded, as will experience using Business Central 365 or a similar accounting system.
Most importantly, you are dependable, organised and willing to take ownership of your work in a role where accuracy and consistency matter.
