About the Opportunity Koch’s Foodland in Loxton is seeking a hands-on and switched-on Fruit & Vegetable Manager to take full ownership of their fresh produce department. This is a role where you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring it is fresh, well presented, and running smoothly. A great produce department doesn’t happen by accident. It is built through smart buying, sharp pricing, strong merchandising, and an unwavering commitment to quality. You will be stepping into a department that plays a key role in the store’s overall performance, with the autonomy to make decisions, respond to market conditions, and drive both sales and margin. What You’ll Be Responsible For You will take full end-to-end ownership of the Fruit and Vegetable department, including: Driving sales through high-impact merchandising, seasonal planning, and promotional execution Managing ordering and stock levels to balance availability, freshness, and waste control Setting and adjusting pricing in response to market trends, competition, and margin targets Building visually abundant, fresh, and engaging displays that encourage purchasing Monitoring daily performance and proactively adjusting strategy to optimise results Maintaining exceptional product quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards Building strong supplier relationships and leveraging buying opportunities Leading and developing team members where applicable
