About the Opportunity

Koch’s Foodland in Loxton is seeking a hands-on and switched-on Fruit & Vegetable Manager to take full ownership of their fresh produce department.

This is a role where you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring it is fresh, well presented, and running smoothly.

You will be stepping into a department that plays a key role in the store’s overall performance, with the autonomy to make decisions, respond to market conditions, and drive both sales and margin.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• You will take full end-to-end ownership of the Fruit and Vegetable department, including:

• Driving sales through high-impact merchandising, seasonal planning, and promotional execution

• Managing ordering and stock levels to balance availability, freshness, and waste control

• Setting and adjusting pricing in response to market trends, competition, and margin targets

• Building visually abundant, fresh, and engaging displays that encourage purchasing

• Monitoring daily performance and proactively adjusting strategy to optimise results

• Maintaining exceptional product quality, cleanliness, and food safety standards

• Building strong supplier relationships and leveraging buying opportunities

• Leading and developing team members where applicable
