About The Opportunity

Our client, The Mary Potter Foundation, exists to ensure that patients in palliative care and their families feel supported, valued and cared for.. They are dedicated to making moments that matter — honouring life with care, compassion, and respect.

 

This newly refreshed role offers the chance to apply your creativity in new ways — strengthening the Foundation’s voice, broadening donor engagement, and building meaningful connections with the community. As part of a small and dedicated team, you’ll have scope to work across diverse projects, from digital campaigns to storytelling and donor stewardship. You will play a key role in building impact, making sure that every initiative delivered is grounded in compassion and care.

 

Reporting to the Executive Director, the role is broad and varied.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Strategise, develop and deliver creative marketing campaigns across digital, social, and print platforms
  • Strengthen the Foundation’s brand presence and grow engagement with a wider supporter base
  • Produce inspiring stories, newsletters, media releases, and donor communications that highlight impact and reflect the values of the Foundation.
  • Support donor stewardship through compelling updates, thank-you communications, and event promotion
  • Contribute ideas, assist in the design of collateral, and help bring fundraising initiatives to life
  • Work collaboratively across the organisation, pitching in where needed, as part of a small and resourceful team

About You

You are an energetic all-rounder who thrives in a small team environment. Passionate about making an impact, you are creative, resourceful, and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.

  • You have experience in, and a qualification in marketing and communications, or similar fields
  • You bring strong skills in writing, storytelling, and content creation across multiple channels
  • You are confident using social media platforms, email marketing tools, and websites to build engagement, and can effectively analyse results and produce reports.
  • You are collaborative, positive, and solutions-focused, with a can-do attitude
  • Ideally, you have experience in the not-for-profit sector and understand how to connect authentically with donors
  • Importantly, you bring heart, creativity, and a genuine connection to the values of palliative and end-of-life care.
