This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Funeral Director to join the Peter Elberg Funerals team.

 

About the Opportunity

 

The successful applicant will be the key contact for families to provide them with end-to-end service and support, from the initial consultation to closing out all accounts and communications post-service. 

 

Your role will include but not be limited to:

  • Meeting with families and provide advice and guidance on their options to personalise service arrangements to their needs including cultural, traditional and personal preference
  • Oversee the arrangements including on the funeral day

Regular working hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, however you will need to be available for Saturday services and for viewing services late afternoon or evening.

 

About You

 

You are an experienced Funeral Director who is empathetic, positive, and community-minded, with outstanding organisational skills and a strong eye for detail. You have the ability to use you own initiative and are comfortable making independent decisions, working collaboratively in a supportive team. 

You will need the following skills/attributes:

  • Previous experience within the Funeral Industry
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the confidence in discussing all aspects of a funeral service such as cultural preferences and pricing models. 
  • Confidence in presenting and public speaking
  • Excellent driving skills and a clean Australian Driver's Licence
  • Good technical and computer literacy skills
  • Outstanding planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
