About the Opportunity

As a Senior Accountant at Nortons you will work with a diverse range of clients across a broad number of industries including manufacturing, winemaking, primary production, retail, hospitality and professional services.  You will be providing a range of tax and advisory services to businesses in Mudgee and beyond.

The role involves:

• Preparing complex jobs from start to finish including preparing financial statements
• Maintaining and building relationships as a trusted advisor to clients
• Taking a key role in training and mentoring junior/trainee accountants
• Reviewing work prepared by junior/trainee accountants and invoicing
• Delegating appropriately to junior team members and the Admin Team
• Preparing budgets, cashflow forecasts and scenario analyses.

About You

You are a qualified or nearly qualified CA or CPA Accountant, excited to work in this progressive firm with like-minded professionals. You will, of course, have a tertiary qualification (Business, Accounting, Commerce or Economics) and will bring public practice experience in advisory, accounting and tax.

As well as your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high level of attention to detail, you will have well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. You possess a keen interest in partnering with clients and further developing your relationship management skills.

Nortons embrace technology and you will too, with a demonstrated ability to learn various software and systems.
